SPOILER ALERT: If you have not yet watched the 8th episode of Mr. House Husband please watch it here.
This week we dive right into the videos from the housekeeping men. First up is Kim Jung-Tae, who shows us how to make a three-tier cake in a rice cooker! I had heard of making microwave cupcakes, but never of rice cooker cakes. The actor goes as far as making his own frosting to decorate the birthday cake for his son. To convince the rest of the cast, Jung-Tae brings out some cake for them to try. Like everything the veteran homemaker does, it was a success!
Kim Il-Joong focuses this week on his eldest son’s homework. He spends all afternoon making sure his son gets all the help he requires. The hardest task for the pair seems to be transcribing. To ensure that this is not as easy as it sounds, Son Tae-Young prepared a quiz for the housekeeping men. Out of a possible 100 point, the highest achieved mark was 50 points. Three of the six men received this score, Kim Il-Joong, Kim Seung-Woo and Moon Se-Yoon. The next two were Bong Tae-Gyu and Kim Jung-Tae. Unfortunately, the guest musician, Muzie, got a total of 0 points on this quiz. Even professionals cannot pass a quiz meant for first graders.
Next up are Kim Seung-Woo and Bong Tae-Gyu. Once again, the dynamic duo decides to cook together. This time the pair gets along much better than last time. Making Seung-Woo’s favorite, spicy noodles and homemade donuts. To makes the task challenging, Bong Tae-Gyu decided that they should make their own noodles, instead of buying already made ones.
Trying to take the lead this week, Moon Se-Yoon decides to call a friend and make pig’s feet. The two friends spend all day boiling and seasoning three pig feet. As mentioned by Se-Yoon, housekeeping is about going back to the beginning, meaning you aren’t done until everything is clean as when you first started.
This episode ends with Muzie composing an adorable Christmas carol for his daughters. Watch this week’s episode here.
