SHINee Addresses Fans, Announce Continued Japan Concert Plans

SHINee members Onew (Lee Jinki), Key (Kim Kibum), Minho (Choi Minho) and Taemin (Lee Taemin) left handwritten messages on January 9 on their official website to announce their intentions to continue on with a planned concert in Japan. It is their first public statement from the remaining members after the passing of member Jonghyun.
The handwritten letters express their initial concerns with moving forward with the concert, well wishes for their fans and other supporters, and expressed emotion after Jonghyun’s death by suicide on December 18, 2017.
Band leader Onew shared that, “Jonghyun’s mother told me not to give up. So I thought that if we could comfort those who are missing [Jonghyun] and in pain, then I should work harder even if I am lacking.” The remaining members also expressed gratitude for love and support they have received.
SHINee World The Best 2018: From Now On tour will take place in Tokyo and Osaka in February.
