World’s First Wearable Translator Continues Pre-Orders Beyond United States

In 2017, pre-orders for ili shipped to its first 10,000 recipients. The wearable translator created by Takuro Yoshida, a Japanese tech entrepreneur and CEO of Logbar Inc., was created to connect people around the world after Yoshida was unable to ask for a simple glass of water during foreign travel.The device is a Wi-Fi free one-way translator, allowing current users to speak English into it and have their conversations translated quickly into Japanese, Spanish, and Mandarin.

Orders are currently processed in the United States but requests can be made for the product to be available in other countries through a simple form. Additional languages will be supported in the future. Would you try a device like this or prefer apps instead?
