SECONDLADY is a punk rock band that consists of vocalist Alyse, drummer Junna, and guitarist Yuki.
Hailing from Osaka, Japan, the group formed in 2012 as a four-member band, with original members Alyse, Meg, Hiro and Junna.
By 2013, SECONDLADY started promoting through ReverbNation. Their single “Sing it all our days” was the first released and used as the ending theme to Yoshio Nomura‘s “Fresh Musician.” Three years later, they released their first mini album, “First Jump.”
Listening to SECONDLADY’s music there is a sense of nostalgia for those who grew up during a time when it was possible to walk down the “Boulevard of Broken Dreams” with Green Day or keeping “Dirty Little Secrets” with The All-American Rejects. Their style can compare to bands like The Go-Go’s and Nirvana. They even performed a cover of the latter’s song “Smells Like Teen Spirit” in 2017.
In January of 2018 Meg and Hiro announced their departure from the band and left heartfelt messages for their fans. Months later, Yuki joined the group.
The band continues to produce music and perform all throughout Japan. Catch them at “Eat The Rock 2018” for their battle of the bands performance on July 8.
