Avex‘s rising star Beverly has made a name for herself in the music industry. The Filipino-born singer got her start by moving to Japan to pursue her music career. In 2016, she signed with Avex after earning numerous wins at singing competitions in both the Philippines and America. A year later she released her debut album, “Awesome,” which featured tracks such as “Tell Me Baby” and “I need your love.”
Her impressive vocal range gained the attention of Shun Oguri. Oguri introduced the singer to the producer of the drama he was working on, “CRISIS.” This led to two of Beverly’s songs from her “AWESOME” album — ” I need your love” and “Empty” — appearing as the opening and featured song, respectively, for the drama. The vocalist has also done covers of hits like Luis Fonsi‘s “Despacito” and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” from Disney‘s “The Lion King”
By late 2017, Beverly became the opening act for Ariana Grande during her “Dangerous Woman Tour.” As her popularity grew, she was able to perform for government officials such as the Prime Minister of Japan, Shinzo Abe, and Rodrigo Duterte, the president the Philippines.
Recently, Beverly released her latest album “24,” which went on sale on June 20.
