The NBA appears to be seeing its fair share of fights right now. The newest altercation involved NFL Hall of Famer Shannon Sharpe and Ja Morant’s father Tee after an all-out battle between Brook Lopez of the Milwaukee Bucks and Gary Trent Jr. of the Toronto Raptors. The event happened at the Crypto.com arena when the Los Angeles Lakers hosted the Memphis Grizzlies. After Sharpe & Memphis guard, Dillon Brooks traded insults, a fight broke out.

The situation then became more obvious when Dillon’s teammates Steven Adams & Morant entered the picture. During the game, the FS1 announcer who was sitting courtside for the game, and Memphis guard Dillon Brooks were exchanging jabs when Dillon’s teammates Steven Adams and Morant entered the scene. While everyone else tries to bring things back to some form of order, Adams can be seen barking at Sharpe. Shannon & Tee got into an argument as the mayhem escalated.

Sharpe is the younger brother of former NFL star wide receiver Sterling Sharpe. He participated in track & field, basketball, and football at Savannah State. He participated in throwing and jumping competitions in track. Between 1987 and 1989, Sharpe was chosen three times for the All-Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference team and was named SIAC Player of the Year in 1987. In 1989, he was also chosen as a Division II All-American by Kodak.

Sharpe had an outstanding collegiate career, but he was not a highly regarded candidate in the 1990 NFL Draft. Sharpe was too big for a receiver and too tiny for a tight end, and he only played Division II college football. The Denver Broncos eventually selected him with the 192nd pick in the seventh round. Denver changed him from a receiver to a tight end after his two subpar seasons as a receiver, during which he only caught 29 passes. This swiftly paid off since in his third season, Sharpe caught 53 passes. He stayed with Denver until 1999, and during that time, he won two championship rings at Super Bowls XXXII and XXXIII.
