The college has issued an official statement paying respects to the victim’s family. Trinity College in Dublin is a very well-known college with people wanting to take admission in it desperately. One such student was identified as Mark Melnychuk, who died on Wednesday around 8:50 P.M. Mark was a good student and an even better person so this incident has had a lot of effect on the other students of the college. Mark died at the scene of the incident and the investigators said that they “are investigating all the circumstances surrounding his death.” Authorities are still trying to piece together the coherent story behind this incident, and police suspect that there was no mysterious aspect to the encounter that resulted in the young man’s death.
College’s announcement regarding Mark:
The Trinity college has broken its silence on the issue and has released an official statement regarding Mark Melnychuk’s death. The college’s Pro-Senior Tutor Gerry Whyte wrote in an official email to the staff and the students, “We appreciate that Mark’s death is a shock and that it will take time for those who knew him to come to terms with this sad news. Please remember that there are people in Trinity offering to support you. You will find a list of useful contact numbers at the end of this e-mail. In particular, the Student Counselling Service has indicated that they will receive both individual students and small groups on request at this time.” Trinity College is also going to conduct a class meeting tomorrow at St. James Hospital around 10 A.M. to pay tribute to Mark and to celebrate his life and time with the people of the college. The principal of the college, along with the Senior Tutor are going to personally visit and write to Mark’s family to pay their sympathies for their loss.
