The takeover continues! BTS appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Nov. 27, making their US daytime talk show debut. In addition to a quick chat, the boys also performed “Mic Drop” for the first time on American television.

Ellen asked the band pertinent questions about their lyrics, which discuss mental health among teenagers and young adults, and how they handle their Beatlemania-esque fame. On their lyrical content, Suga explained that mental health is a universal, concern and even though the band sings in Korean, their fans feel their sincerity.

The video montage put together to introduce the group touched on their billions of YouTube views and Billboard charting success while not forgetting to mention BTS’ loyal fan base, the ARMY. She also asked if any of the members have “hooked up” with a fan, to which RM laughed and said, “We’re doing it right now!” The evasion was met with more laughter from Ellen, the band and the ARMY-filled studio audience.

This is the first of three television spots expected to air, the others being “Jimmy Kimmel Live” and “The Late Late Show with James Corden.”
