In 1998, VERBAL☆Taku Takahashi and LISA first appeared on the music scene with their single “Been So Long.” During this time LISA went under the alias Unika.

By 2000, the trio released their first album “Planet Shining,” which featured songs “L.O.T. (Love or Truth),” “Come Back To Me” and “Quantum Leap.”

In 2002, LISA parted ways from the group and embarked on a solo career. The remaining two continued as a duo and have since then worked with top artists such as Utada HikaruNamie Amuro and Korean music legend BoA.

While LISA went down a different path she remained in contact with her former group mates, as shown in music video “Love Comes and Goes” featuring Ryohei, Emyli, YOSHIKA and LISA herself.

It has been fifteen years since LISA’s departure, but on Dec. 14 fans were surprised to see an announcement pertaining to LISA returning to the group as a permanent member.

The first song they will release as a trio will be the ballad “never,” which will be used in the 2018 movie “Kyonen no Fuyu, Kimi to Wakare.” Their first live performance will be on Dec. 31 at the “Universal Countdown Party 2018” at Universal Studios Japan.

Who else is excited to see LISA return to her roots?!
