Had enough of Marvel yet? Didn’t think so.

If the stunning release of “Black Panther” earlier in February didn’t satisfy your superhero craving, Marvel is preparing to serve up something new in 2018.

Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors” will tell the story of several spunky super-powered teenagers who join forces with a seasoned hero to take on a new threat. The six-part series of digital shorts will precede a feature film. “This project is unlike anything we’ve done before […],” said Marvel Director of Content & Character Development, Sana Amanat.

How will this series differ from Marvel’s past and current works? Let’s start with the inclusion of new Marvel fan favorites. You won’t find Captain America or Black Widow in this ragtag group. Instead, we get a new, young and revamped team voiced by some familiar talent. Dove Cameron (Disney‘s “Descendants”) voices the character Gwen Stacy (Ghost-Spider), a young woman who gained her powers after a run in with a radioactive spider. She is joined by Chloe Bennet, who plays Daisy Johnson (Quake) in this new series as well as “Marvel’s Agent’s of S.H.I.E.L.D”.

“Teen Wolf” lead actor Tyler Posey will be warming things up as Dante Pertuz (Inferno), a brooding teen with a temper problem. Ming-na Wen goes from playing the S.H.I.E.L.D hero May to the villain Hala. According to Marvel,  she’s “bent on galactic domination.” Luckily, Captain Marvel (Kim Raver, “Grey’s Anatomy”) and her protege Ms. Marvel (Kathreen Khavari, “Little Big Lies”) will be there to make taking over the universe a little more difficult. They will be joined by Patriot (Kamil McFadden, “K.C. Undercover”) , America Chavez (Cierra Ramirez), Squirrel Girl (Milana Vayntrub, “This is Us”), Gloria Grant (Skai Jackson, “Jessie”) and Exile (Booboo Stewart, “Descendants”).

Can you imagine trying to keep this group in detention? With a world in need of saving, teenage problems will be the least of their worries but the characters in this show are already shaping up to be a group viewers will be able to relate to. With a diverse cast, strong female leads and an exciting premise, “Marvel Rising: Secret Warriors” will be fun ride for any Marvel fan.
