This is a recap of the latest episode aired for Running Man, “Train To Prison”

The episode starts off with the members arriving at Suseo Station, which is a newly built train station in South Korea. The moment that members have gathered, they are already suspicious of what the production team has in store for them. The production staff reveals to the Running Man members that they are going to go on a leisurely trip using the train as transportation. The Running Man members can choose to go anywhere they want to go and that the location did not matter as long as they used the train as their mode of transportation.

From there, the a group of men appear from behind the members, holding blank cards for the members to write down their destination of choice. But little did the members know that there was another group of men that had came from behind the members, giving the members quite the scare before holding the Running Man members down. The first group of men that had originally came out holding the blank cards, takes the opportunity to force the Running Man members who were being held down, to write a specific destination (one that the members all protested against) on the card. The destination that was written was: “PRISON”

Once all the members have written down the destination on their card, the production staff reveal the real mission for the episode, which is that they are now “criminals” who have to make their way to prison. Thus revealing the theme for the episode, “Train to Prison.” This is a play on words based on the summer Korean blockbuster, “Train to Busan.”

The penalty of the race is that, if the members make it to the prison, they have to appear on live TV and broadcast for 10 minutes. The live TV broadcast will take place on the Korean Thanksgiving holiday.

After changing into prison outfits, the members all get ready to board the train but before that, the members are giving a special tag that indicates their seat and their prison number. Once settled in the train, the production staff further explains to the Running Man cast that if they all succeed in the missions/games, they are able to escape all together. However, if the Running Man members fail a mission, they have to move on the next train car. Each car of the train has different missions and different names  such as: the quick-witted car, the temptation car and the probability car.

The first mission was revealed to be the quick-witted mission.

  • Must be quick-witted to escape
  • The first game happens to be the seat-number game
  • Over the intercom of the train, the announcer will say a certain seat number and depending on the seat that is called, the individual has to either remain seated or stand up.
  • The members are disqualified if you do not follow the command, which is why the members have to be quick-witted.
  • If a member fails/is disqualified, the game starts over once again.
