Authorities are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a graduate student who vanished from Catholic University of America in Washington, DC.
In the 600 block of Jackson Street, a few streets from the CUA’s Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, is where Taylor Hackel, 24, was last observed on Monday, according to MPD. On Wednesday, her disappearance was reported.
According to Hackel’s missing persons report, there is no mention of her being in danger, an MPDC representative informed Fox News.
She is described as being 130 pounds, 5 feet 7 inches tall, with blonde hair and blue eyes. According to MPD, she was last seen wearing a tan sweater, a white shirt, and black pants. According to WAOW, the Wisconsin native attended CUA’s John Paul II Institute.
According to a poster advertising a missing person search, Hackel’s car and laptop were discovered parked at Centro Maria, a Catholic boarding school where she had been residing.

According to the flyer, her debit card was last used in Georgia on October 26. According to a post on the UWL website, Hackel earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin La Crosse and was chosen for a distinguished fellowship through the National Institute of Health.
According to the report, Hackel was a committed volunteer while a student, gathering extra food through the university’s Food Recovery Network to give to the hungry. Additionally, she helped out at the neighbourhood Catholic Charities Warming Center, served meals at the Salvation Army, and developed pen pal relationships with inmates.
