Due to witnesses at the scene who desperately tried to assist Leesa that terrible night, his crime wasn’t going ignored, and the police were able to locate him fast. On December 14th, 2022, almost exactly 22 years after his heinous crime occurred, Loden ultimately entered a plea of guilty to murder and four counts of adult battery against Leesa. He was then given the death penalty by lethal injection.
In accordance with court documents, Loden was later found unconscious by the side of the road with wrist wounds and the words “I’m sorry” etched into his chest.
