The Kerry Tralee native former football player Liam Kearns dies at age 61. Offaly Manager Liam’s sudden death has left Clann na nGael GAA (Roscommon) community in grief and sorrow.

Liam Kearns was the most respected and highly regarded manager of the community and was appointed as the Offaly Manager in August 2022. He had already led Limerick, Laois, and Tipperary. Liam Kearns served for a very short time as Offaly’s manager.
The GAA (Roscommon) paid tribute to Liam Kearns and extended their deepest condolences to his family. The tweet reflected that the GAA Community is devastated because of the sudden departure of their beloved manager Liam Kearns. Liam was a highly respected member of the community and created a deep impact on the senior footballers.
Further GAA extended its support and concern for Liam Kearns’s wife Angela and his two daughters Laura and Rachel.

The Gaelic Offaly Football manager died on March 12, 2023. The cause of death is presumed to be his sudden illness and exhaustion caused by an intensive training session on Sunday morning. The Community claimed that he was fit but his health deteriorated after the session. The Cause of Death is yet to be ascertained.
Who was Liam Kearns?
Liam Ó Ciaráin better known as Liam Kearns was born in 1962 in Tralee, Ireland. He was a former football player and later became the manager of Limerick, Laois, Tipperary, and Offaly. While he was the manager of Tipperary, he took the team to the semi-finals in the 2016 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship. His father Ollie Kearns trained him to win the All-Ireland Minor Medal with Kerry in the finals of the late 1950s. Liam Kearns was also a member of the Austin Stacks Club where he managed to win a Kingdom Senior Championship. He was a Garda retired sergeant.
Liam Kearns was appointed Offaly manager on August 11, 2022, succeeding John Maughan.

They ascertained that it is a huge loss for the community and also extended deepest condolences to his family and relatives. Liam Kearns was a highly respectable member of the community.
