Saturday Night Live made a special homage during its latest occasion to Erin Maroney Fraser, who preliminarily worked on the late-night television sketch show.
On the latest occasion of the program, Wednesday star Jenna Ortega took on the part of the host, while The 1975 made a special appearance as the musical guest.

During the show, a title card appeared on screen paying homage to Erin Maroney Fraser, who took the heavenly abode suddenly this month on March 3, 2023, at the age of 53.
In the initial days of her career, Erin assisted Lorne Michaels, who was then the creator of Saturday Night Live. While Erin assisted Lorne, she also worked as a staff writer in the series.
Erin Fraser worked for several programs produced by Lorne Michaels which include Tommy Boy, Black Sheep, and Conan O’Brien.

A week ago, a GoFundMe runner was set up in Fraser’s honor to raise funds for her children’s education and tuition fees, and also explained the cause of the death of Erin Fraser.
On 2nd March 2023, Erin Fraser woke up and wished her youngest child a happy birthday, and went to work at her new job as Executive Director for the Savannah Regional Film Commission( “ SRFC ”). Post lunch, Erin fell ill and started feeling nauseous. Within hours, Erin passed away from a brain hemorrhage. The GoFundMe Page revealed the cause of death.
Erin Maroney Fraser was the box of joy and creativity. She never failed to bring a smile to the face of others. She was very beautiful and at the same time humorous. She was blessed to be a proud wife and a mother to three amazing kids.
Erin Fraser was a pillar of sacrifice as she sacrificed her career in entertainment to raise her three kids. The youngest child of Erin was enrolled at Oxford College of Emory University and then after Erin returned to the entertainment industry and was looking forward to working as the Executive Director for the SRFC. She was much more elated to return to the South so that she would get some extra time to spend with her kids.
The GoFundMe Page quoted, “We would like to help Erin’s kids complete their college education. All funds raised will go towards their tuition. Any excess funds will go to the Erin and Jay Fraser Scholarship Fund at Emory University”.

Fraser was born on April 23 1969 in New York City and tied the knot with Walter Javan ‘ Jay ’ Fraser III, in 1997. The couple had three children together.
On the website for Fox & Weeks Funeral Directors, it expresses “Erin’s husband Jay Fraser was with her when she passed and is assured that she didn’t suffer. Erin left this world knowing that her children would be just as fierce as she was and she knew everyone who loved her would put in their blood and sweat to finish the job raising them.”
Last year in December 2022, Erin was excited to work at SRFC and lauded SRFC for their work culture, vision, business-friendly environment, the scope of personal growth, demographics, etc.
