A friend of Michael Owen’s alleges that a beauty queen died at his stables after falling off her horse and hitting her head. Jessica Whalley, 25 years old, had been working as a transport manager at Manor House Stables in Malpas in Cheshire when she suffered a fall on Tuesday morning. Her death occurred shortly after the accident.
One of her closest friends, Allison Samuel, shared the tragic news that she had gone suddenly just a few days before her 26th birthday, which will be celebrated this coming Saturday.
How did Jessica Whalley die?
According to what she said to The Sun, Ms Whalley’s death was brought on by an accident involving her falling off of her horse. This is not the case, according to those with knowledge of the stable who spoke with MailOnline; they stated it would be “premature” to assert otherwise. In addition to this, they referred to it as “an occurrence rather than an accident.”
When questioned further by MailOnline on the allegations against the horse, but the stables declined to comment further. Miss Samuel continued by saying that shortly after the breakup of her parents’ marriage, a friend who had aspirations of becoming the head girl at a yard moved to Cheshire. Shortly after that, Hugo Palmer began working there as a trainer.
Although the death was reported to the HM Coroner’s Office for Cheshire yesterday, a spokesman for the office told MailOnline this morning that no decision regarding an inquest has been made as the case is still “in its very early stages.” This is due to the fact that the investigation is still ongoing.

Who was Jessica Whalley?
Jessica Whalley, a horsewoman who has also competed in beauty pageants and won, was born in 1998. She passed suddenly on March 28, 2023, at the stables that were owned by Michael Owen, who had previously played for England and Liverpool.
She competed in the Miss Tourism Universe 2019 competition, held in Beirut and broadcast on MTV, and earned a spot in the top 10 of that competition.
She was transport manager at the stables near Malpas, Cheshire, which were owned and operated by Gemma Owen, who is currently competing on Love Island and is 19 years old. Jess was the name that her coworkers gave her. It was determined that she had passed away at the scene itself.
