Academy Award winner and PS I Love You star Hilary Swank, 48, made the news on Easter Sunday with a lovely photo of her hugging her newborn children. Hilary Swank’s joy at having twins, a boy and a girl, was broadcast to the globe. “That wasn’t easy,” she said. Swank elaborated. But it paid off big time (and for the girl, too)! Happy Easter! “Posting from the untainted land of paradise,” she wrote.
Hilary gave birth to twins with the support of her second husband, Philip Schneider. This is her first experience as a mother. The pair decided on October 20, 2021 as the due date for the twins in honour of Hilary’s late father, Stephen Michael Swank, who passed away in October of that year. Prior to his passing, Hilary had been her father’s main carer. Hilary Swank told “People” in 2006 about her relationship with first husband Chad Lowe, whom she married from 1997 until 2007.

Producer Suzy Sachs spotted Hilary as a toddler and helped her develop her acting skills. At age nine, she made her stage debut in “The Jungle Book,” playing the title role. She started acting in community theatre and school productions regularly. She completed 16 years of formal education in Bellingham, Washington, where she grew up. She swam in the Junior Olympics and the Washington State championships, and she placed fifth in the state in all-around gymnastics (a skill that would come in useful when she played a karate expert in The Next Karate Kid, back in 1994). Hilary went to Los Angeles with her mother in 1990, where she attended South Pasadena High and began her acting career. Her breakthrough role came in The Next Karate Kid (1994), despite her previous appearance in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992).

Philip Schneider and Hilary Swank Twins are born
Swank announced on April 9 that she and husband Philip Schneider had given birth to twins, a girl and a boy. She uploaded an image of herself holding the infants, with the babies’ heads clearly visible, on Instagram.

During an “Good Morning America” interview in October 2022, the “Alaska Daily” actress revealed she was expecting twins. The 48-year-old actor said at the time that being a mother was her greatest achievement. She said, “I’m going to be a parent — and not just of one, but of two,” adding, “This is something that I’ve been wanting for a long time.”
Swank also appeared on “Live With Kelly and Ryan” that day, when she revealed that she and Schneider come from families where having several children is commonplace. She said, “I’m double thrilled.” Our family tree includes several sets of twins, since both my grandmother and my husband’s grandmother were identical twins.
