Jimmie Allen, a country music singer, is going through a lot of changes right now, including a divorce from his wife Alexis Gale. Allan announced the breakup with Gale “after much thought” in an Instagram post on Friday. He also broke the news that they were expecting a child.

Jimmie Allen follows in the footsteps of current R&B/country forerunners Sam Hunt and Thomas Rhett with a similarly polished sound emphasizing melody and rhythms. His 2018 debut album Mercury Lane benefited from this polished confidence, climbing to position eleven on the country album chart and propelling the singles “Best Shot” and “Make Me Want To” to the top of Billboard’s Country Airplay chart. To further cement his position as the most commercially successful Black artist in country music since Darius Rucker, Allen released the EP Bettie James in 2021, which featured the Noah Cyrus duet “This Is Us” and the Brad Paisley duet and Country Airplay number one “Freedom Was a Highway.” The CMA Awards and the Grammys both recognised Allen as a deserving New Artist in 2021 (he won the former), and the subsequent summer of 2022 saw the release of his actual second album, Tulip Drive.

A native of Milton, Delaware Jimmie Allen’s birthday is June 18th, 1985. Allen’s love of music began during his time spent singing in speech therapy throughout middle school. He uprooted to Music City in 2007 to seek a career in country music. He spent months living in his van before deciding to put pen to paper and eventually finding many book deals. Super Bowl commercials included one of his tunes. Allan yearned for the stage. He tried out for America’s Got Talent as a singer and stand-up comic but was ultimately turned down. Scotty McCreery won American Idol in 2010, but he’s only now making it big in the entertainment industry.
While living in Nashville, Allen worked several jobs and, in 2013, landed a small part in a Taylor Swift drink commercial. He met the musician and music producer Ash Bowers in 2016. Allen’s debut EP’s lead single, “Blue Jean Baby,” was released in August 2017 on BBR’s Stoney Creek Records imprint. It was built in the latter half of 2017 by Ash Bowers and Eric Torres. In October of 2018, Allen released his first full-length album, Mercury Lane. It debuted at number eleven on Billboard’s Country Albums chart. After that, “Best Shot” and “Make Me Want To” dominated Billboard Country Airplay in 2019 respectively.

Two pieces of news from Jimmie Allen are being released to the public. The 37-year-old country singer came to Instagram on Friday to announce his separation from wife Alexis Gale and the news that she is expecting the couple’s third child.
Allen began by saying, “After giving this a lot of thought over the past few months, Lex and I have decided to separate.” “As we deal with this transition, we can also announce that we are expecting our second child together later this year.”
“Our number one priority is and will always be ensuring that our children are healthy, happy, and loved, and we remain committed to co-parenting with love and respect for one another,” he said. Our family is expanding, and we ask that you give us some space for the time being. In July of 2019, Allen, the father of 8-year-old Aadyn from a previous relationship, popped the question to Gale. In March of 2020, they became parents to a girl named Naomi Bettie. The wedding took place in May of 2021. In October of 2021, they had a daughter whom they named Zara James.
In March of 2022, Allen told ET that he was finished having kids. “It’s a significant jump from two to three! It’s OK; we adore our offspring and are eternally grateful for them. We are definitely outnumbered. He said, “[And] we are,” before saying he was “done” having children. “We thought about it, we tossed around the idea of maybe having another one in like four years,” he remarked.
