Mustapha Rahman, also known as Rudebwoy Ranking, a reggae and dancehall artist from Ghana, is rumoured to have committed suicide. The musician passed suddenly in the early hours of Monday, April 24, 2023, at the Ridge Hospital in Accra, where he had been brought for treatment, according to sources from Joy Entertainment. Earlier that day, he had been moved there. Bullgod was in charge of Rudebwoy’s early career. Rudebwoy’s discography includes the singles “Jah Over Dem,” “No Drama,” “Yaro,” “Level Up,” and “My Time,” among others.

Who is Rudebwoy Ranking?

The dancehall artiste entered the world on March 18th, 1991. While residing in the Nima slum in Accra, Ghana, Rudebwoy honed his dancehall abilities. Beginning in 2015, he made appearances at dancehall festivals around the country. A “Discovery of the Year” award was given to the performer at the 2015 Bass Music Awards. His first album, titled Elevation-Time, was published on September 12, 2016.

Luther, Episode, Samini, Edem, Ras Kuuku, Shatta Wale, and Samini are a few famous Ghanaian musicians he has worked with. Rudebwoy won five of the seven awards he was nominated for at the 2016 Hausa Music Awards, including “Fan Base of the Year,” “Dancehall Artist of the Year,” “Most Popular Song of the Year,” and “Artist of the Year.”

Smoke My Sorrow, by Rudebwoy Ranking, was a success when released on May 31, 2014.
