According to recent public domain and social media news, it is being told that an attempt was made to kill Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea, Lee Jae Myung. According to reports, it is being said that on Tuesday, January 2, 2023, Lee Jae Myung was talking to journalists when a person from the crowd stabbed him in the neck with a knife. After which he fell there and started bleeding profusely. He was then taken to a local university hospital, Yonhap news agency reported. He suffered a one centimeter injury in that attack. Now he will undergo surgery at Seoul National University Hospital.
Police captured the suspect at the scene, and police officer Son Jae-han said at a press briefing that the attacker, a man in his 60s, “used an 18 centimeter knife – its blade is 13 centimeters long – which he Bought it online”.
