Stephanie Sweeney’s family reported that she went missing after December 22, 2023. Due to her not returning home for a long time, her partner John O’Connor filed a missing report. According to the police report, she was last seen in CCTV footage wearing a black jacket, blue jeans and black shoes walking on the ghats near the Village Inn pub at 1:30 am. According to their reports she went missing after falling into the Sligo River. An Garda Síochána, Defense Forces, Sligo Bay RNLI, Rescue 118 Coastguard Helicopter Crew, River Moy Search and Rescue, Boyne River Rescue, Wexford K-9 Search and Rescue and Rockcory Divers were called in to search for her on 25 December 2023. The search was hampered due to high tide. But according to recent police reports, it is being said that the body of Stephanie Sweeney has been found in Sligo Bay area, now their search is over. Her two children and her partner are very sad to hear the news of her death. After her death, Lauren Sweeney paid tribute to her on social media, saying, “I can’t believe it after 18 days You war found we searched Morning noon and night for you with no stopping it didn’t feel real we knew you war gone but we war hoping for some sort of miracle but now we know your in heaven my heart brakes stephanie I can’t believe it Fly High Baby Girl I hope you found ur peace I’ll love you always”
