During Rihanna’s halftime performance, many rumours that were circulating on social media turned out to have some basis in reality: Amanda Silverman, the singer’s publicist, verified the news on Sunday night that the performer who was featured in the Super Bowl halftime performance is expecting a child.
Rihanna, who is now 34 years old, had a performance for the first time in over four years, and she did a speedy medley of her favourites. But just as soon as fans applauded her return to the stage, Rihanna began to hint at her growing stomach while performing fan favourites such as “We Found Love,” “Diamonds,” and “Only Girl (in the World),” occasionally rubbing and gesturing to her belly. She was wearing a ruby red Loewe jumpsuit and matching bustier at the time.
Rihanna is pregnant
In January 2022, Rihanna and her partner, ASAP Rocky, announced they were pregnant through a series of photos taken by “fashion’s favourite paparazzi,” Miles Diggs, according to Vogue. This is not the first time Rihanna has decided to make a splashy baby announcement; this is the second time she has decided to do so. In the month of May, Rihanna became a mother to a son.
Since 2016, Rihanna’s devoted followers have been anticipating the release of a new studio album, and many of them believed that her halftime show marked the beginning of the singer’s comeback. Would she be so kind as to bring out an important guest? Do you have a new song coming out? Will you be announcing a new tour? Instead, there was a proliferation of fresh rumours.
After her spokesperson verified the news, the reaction from fans was encouraging and concerned in equal measures. They acknowledged their adoration for the band while also expressing some worry over the length of time they would have to wait for the next album.
