Brandon Cole Margera, better known as Bam Margera, was born to April Margera (née Cole) and Phil Margera on September 28, 1979, in West Chester, Pennsylvania. When he was three years old, his grandpa called him “Bam” because he often banged into walls. His maternal great-grandfather was Italian and had German, English, and Welsh ancestry.
Career and High School
In high school, he and his brother Jess and their pals Chris Raab, Ryan Dunn, and Brandon DiCamillo created CKY films and were regulars in Jeff Tremaine’s Big Brother magazine. He went to high school simply because his friend Chris Raab did. When Chris Raab got suspended for spreading excrement on lockers, Bam decided to drop out of high school, but his parents convinced him to earn his GED instead.
Bam was able to land a role on Jeff Tremaine’s Jackass when he signed a contract with MTV in the year 2000. Margera went on to act in the Jackass films and host his own reality show, Viva La Bam, which included his family and CKY members, including Ryan Dunn (who also appeared on Jackass).
Bam Margera is arrested
Only weeks after being jailed for domestic assault, Jackass actor Bam Margera was reportedly detained for public intoxication at a Burbank restaurant. The Sun reports that the professional skater got into a heated altercation with a woman at the California establishment, prompting his buddies to urge him to “choose sobriety.” On Wednesday at around 3:45 PM local time in Burbank, California, police were called to the scene of a disturbance at a Thai restaurant.

Officers came to find Margera and the lady engaged in a heated argument and allegedly separated them. TMZ claims that a video of Margera seeming clearly agitated while speaking to police outside the restaurant has gone viral on social media. Although it has not been verified, the publication also claimed that the Jackass star’s estranged wife and kid were present at the eatery.
As of Wednesday night, he remained incarcerated in Burbank. His arrest follows domestic abuse claims, including kicking a lady, that surfaced only weeks ago. After receiving a complaint of a domestic altercation on Thursday morning around 5:30 am local time, police officers located and arrested the former Jackass member, whose actual name is Brandon, according to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department.
According to the sheriff’s office, when authorities arrived at the Escondido residence where the alleged altercation happened, the lady told them that her husband had kicked her. Bam was taken into custody and jailed on charges of assault on a spouse, cohabitant, dating partner, or fellow parent. Although TMZ’s sources indicate the accused victim isn’t Bam’s former wife Nikki Boyd but rather his current partner, their relationship status is now unknown.
