The fans slammed a former world boxing champion after posting a beaming selfie with his girlfriend on their lovely trip to the Memorial on a visit to Auschwitz.

The famous two-time champion Jamie McDonnell has faced a tremendous backlash from social media. But he deleted tone-deaf photos of them with smiling girlfriends on a way of a visit to Auschwitz.

Why is British boxer Jamie McDonnell slammed?

This criticism for the boxer rose after posting selfie photos with her girlfriend visiting Auschwitz. One of the fans on Twitter said, “It won’t look logical for using the word lovely for the description of Auschwitz.”

Some said he might not post photos on the places like these where most people feel like hell, suffering, torture and death etc. They won’t expect this from him as a big personality.

But in counterpart McDonnell responded to his critics even after deleting photos saying that they need to enjoy and chill out and said this backlash which is fired against him seems boring for him. He also noted that it was such a lovely day when he was out with his girlfriend here in Poland, and this place illuminated their eyes by making more chill.

But what impacted more on the picture, which became a source of truth criticism, is that in one of the pictures he posted, there seemed a fellow tourist heading down and crying there. Thus, all the Twitter outrage criticized the post by commenting that if McDonell was aware that it was a concentration camp and not Disneyland, he should not decide to chill out there with these smiling faces of selfies.

What place is Auschwitz-Birkenau where they visited?

Auschwitz-Birkenau, which is near the town of Oswiecim, is a concentration camp used mainly by Nazis during the second world war for this purpose. People believe it’s only a place for delivering sorrow, cry, and like hell type. It’s not a place for tourists to chill out.

Talking about the history of this site, then Auschwitz was used as an extermination camp by the Nazis in Poland to murder more than  1.1 million Jews. But after 1947, it became a museum known as Auschwitz-Birkenau, which was later named World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1979.

But people there still do not believe it as any heritage site for tourism but treat it as a place of hell, torture, suffering, etc., where people mourn not smile that’s why they slammed British boxer after he had posted smiling selfie photos with his girlfriend on a visit to this place.
