One of El Salvador’s top 100 most wanted criminals, Herberth Bonilla-Garcia, a Salvadoran fugitive, was captured earlier this month following a coordinated operation in Manassas. Let’s take a closer look at the Herberth Bonilla-Garcia.
Who Is Herberth Bonilla-Garcia?
On December 1, U.S. Immigration and Customs Service agents from the Detention and Deportation Operations arrested and deported 40-year-old American Herberth Bonilla Garcia.
Bonilla Garcia was the target of arrest orders from the government of El Salvador in 2015 for unlawful association and severe extortion, according to ICE and the US Embassy in San Salvador.
Prior to this, Bonilla-Garcia entered the country at least twice without being authorised by a designated immigration official to do so or having been granted parole.
What Happened To Bonilla-Garcia?
In 2006 and 2012, Bonilla-Garcia was already expelled from the country. In January and April of 2015, the Central American country issued arrest warrants for Bonilla-Garcia.
During a targeted operation in Virginia, ICE manages to capture one of the most wanted criminals in El Salvador.

He was apprehended by the authorities in Manassas during a focused operation. He’s being held in ERO custody right now until he’s sent to El Salvador.
