Emma Lovell is believed to have stabbed two trespassers who broke into her North Lakes home late last night while acting in self-defense.
At the moment, four people who were seen leaving a nearby house with police are assisting the investigation. Intruders allegedly pushed their way inside a home in North Lakes, north of Brisbane, where Emma Lovell, 41, and her partner Lee, 43, were at the time on Monday night.
Following reports of a brawl there, Queensland Police were called to Whitfield Crescent in North Lakes on Monday at around 11:30 p.m.
The burglars reportedly shocked Ms. Lovell, 41, and her husband, Lee Lovell, 43, before a fight allegedly broke out on the front porch.

Ms. Lovell was seriously hurt during the altercation. Despite the paramedics’ heroic efforts to rescue Mrs. Lovell through a thoracotomy procedure, she was left with chest injuries and died right there and then.
Her death occurred only a few hours after she had returned from a trip to the Sunshine Coast, where she and her family had spent Christmas Day at the beach.

After suffering non-life-threatening injuries to his back, her husband Lee was airlifted to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a critical but stable condition.

Police are preparing to charge two 17-year-old Brisbane teens with murder and attempted murder in connection with the stabbing death of a woman who was innocently home alone with her husband last night when they were startled intruders broke into their North Lakes house.
