After that, the illness advanced to his brain in August of 2020, and he made his diagnosis public later that year in December.
Since then, he has been showered with support as he provides updates on social media. It is painful to think that he recently mentioned he fears his kids won’t remember him and that he has begun a new treatment program, but he has been receiving a lot of positive feedback.
He has now expressed his “frustration” at the fact that he is feeling weak and is unable to play football with his sons.
“I attempted to play football with Rex the other day but I was in goal and I couldn’t get near the ball,” Jonnie said. “It was frustrating.” That was such a frustrating experience.

After celebrating his 50th birthday earlier this year, Jonnie continued, “I’m frail now, delicate, and my memory is horrible… however, I haven’t left yet’

He has stated in the past, “Every time something really great occurs with them, I have this thing banging at my door saying, “Don’t get too happy because you’re not going to be around much longer.
