Singer, songwriter, and actress Stefani Joanne Angelina Germanotta is better known by her stage name, Lady Gaga. She has become famous for her ability to completely transform her image and sound. As a young woman, Gaga began her performance career by participating in open mic nights and school productions. Before deciding to pursue a career in music full-time, she attended the Collaborative Arts Project 21 program via NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts.
Lady Gaga Career
Gaga’s five succeeding studio albums all debuted atop the US Billboard 200. Her second full-length album, Born This Way (2011), explored electronic rock and techno-pop and sold more than one million copies in its first week. The title track became the fastest-selling song on the iTunes Store, with over one million downloads in less than a week. Following her EDM-influenced third album, Artpop (2013), and its lead single “Applause”, Gaga released the jazz album Cheek to Cheek (2014) with Tony Bennett, and the soft rock album Joanne (2016).
Lady Gaga’s Harley Quinn costume in Joker
A new photoshoot for the sequel to Joker, titled Joker: Folie à Deux, features a fully costumed Lady Gaga. Photos shot on March 25 in lower Manhattan feature Gaga in character as Harley Quinn, the lover of Batman’s archenemy The Joker in the comics.
The images depict Gaga emerging from a courthouse, dressed as a clown in minimum makeup, a diamond-patterned corset, and a black miniskirt. She is making her way past a group of people and police officers. She wears black, diamond-patterned stockings that are both sheer and opaque. Her hair is a bright yellow color, and she wears it damp and slicked back, with a few inches of dark roots showing. Signs stating “Free Joker” and “Joker, marry me!” may be seen being carried by some of the fictitious protesters and supporters. XOXO.”

In 2021, Gaga appeared in House of Gucci as Patrizia Reggiani, which was her final major appearance. Joaquin Phoenix, Brendan Gleeson, Catherine Keener, and Zazie Beetz are all set to reprise their roles from the first film in Joker: Folie à Deux. The Hollywood Reporter has stated that sources have indicated that the film may be a musical, or at least contain musical aspects featuring a co-lead such as Lady Gaga.
In Todd Phillips’s first installment of his Joker world, the focus is on the Clown Prince of Crime’s origin story rather than Gotham City’s superhero. The sequel’s plot remains a mystery, however the title alludes to a phenomenon in which members of the same family are affected by the same or a comparable mental disease. Harley Quinn and the Joker are not connected in the comics, but they do work together as psychiatrists at Arkham Asylum.
She finally falls in love with him, and the two of them begin a life of crime and turmoil together. In past DC movies, Margot Robbie played Harley Quinn, but that continuity isn’t canon with Phoenix and Gaga’s characters. On October 4, 2024, the new film will debut in theaters.
