The Volcanological Institute of the Canary Islands (Involcan) has reported this Saturday morning of the opening of a new source of lava emission or mouth in the main fracture of the La Palma volcano. This new outbreak was detected at 10.30 am.
Scientists have already begun monitoring and surveillance work on this new eruptive mouth, and surveillance work on the new stream and the two new emission centers that emerged yesterday are continuing.
With this new source of emission or eruptive mouth , there are already five that are emitting lava in the new volcano of La Palma, after this Friday two mouths had been opened, separated by about 15 meters from each other and about 600 meters from the center main issuer.

On Friday afternoon, the Government of the Canary Islands ordered the confinement of new neighborhoods in the area of Tazacorte and Los Llanos de Aridane.
Affecting some 3,500 more residents who join the inhabitants of the neighborhoods of San Borondón, Marina Baja, Marina Alta and La Condesa, who were already confined since the beginning of this week. The confinement has been decreed due to the worsening of the air quality in the areas close to the laundry route.
