Vanessa Fox, the younger sister of Sam Fox, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 50 after being brought to the hospital suffering a heart attack. On Saturday, the legend’s younger sister, who was also known as Page 3, passed away.
Her passing occurred nine days after the collapse she suffered in her own house. Sam shared the story of how her sister Vanessa defended her when their alcoholic father Pat assaulted her in advance of the publication of her autobiography, Forever, in 2017.
She explained that she feared for her life and pleaded with him to put an end to the attack. When I attempted to stand up, he kicked me in the stomach so hard that it made me winded, and he refused to stop doing it. My sister Vanessa overheard what was going on, and when she saw what was happening, she leapt on his back and forced him off of me.
A representative for Sam has verified the following statement: “Sam would want to express his gratitude to the amazing physicians and nurses for their care and support.” During this difficult time, Sam and her family ask that you respect their need for privacy.
Before Vanessa’s health took a severe decline, it was well known that she and the singer Sam had an incredibly close relationship. The pop queen from the 1980s has only recently spoken up about the passing of her companion, Myra Stratton, who passed away in 2015 from cancer.

She added that taking care of her girlfriend of 16 years while she was passing away was “one of the toughest things” she had to go through in the course of her life since it was so emotionally draining. During his interview on ITV’s Good Morning Britain, Sam shared his thoughts as follows: “For anybody, it certainly puts life into perspective, and when you go through something like that, you certainly grow up, and you see life for what it truly is.”
“She was really courageous, and I believe that anyone who cares for someone who is terminally ill with cancer demonstrates incredibly bravery as well. It’s one of the toughest things I’ve ever had to go through, and considering everything else I’ve gone through in my life, including my work and my personal relationships, I believe it’s safe to say that I’ve been through a lot. It’s a challenge.”
