Quarterbacks might quickly develop some level of resentment for one another. Since only one quarterback can be the starting quarterback, only one can play regularly. This position group does not rotate many players like other position groups. Joe Milton, the backup quarterback at Tennessee, and Hendon Hooker remain friends.

Hendon Hooker Career
Hooker pledged his allegiance to Virginia Tech in 2016 after visiting their campus, saying, “It just seemed right when we stepped onto the big stage, on that football field.” In January, Hooker would start attending classes at the school after enrolling early. He fought Josh Jackson, a redshirt freshman, for the starting quarterback job as a freshman in 2017, but Jackson ultimately won out before the 2018 season kicked off.
After Ryan Willis, the team’s current quarterback, threw seven interceptions in 4 games in 2018, Hooker was appointed the starter in 2019. When Hendon played, the Hokies went from having two wins and two losses to winning five games, which qualified them for a bowl game. He changed schools in 2021, going to the University of Tennessee. Christian Hooker claims that having parents who involved him and his siblings in religious activities at a young age was a “benefit” for him and his family. In addition to crediting his parents as the source of his motivation, Hooker claims that his father’s influence and guidance as the youth pastor at their church made him realise that he “can use the game [football] to share the message of Jesus Christ.”
Hooker and his brother wrote a children’s book called The ABCs of Scripture for Athletes to impact the younger generation and his younger cousin Landon. The effort was intended to have “a beneficial influence on the lives of children in his community,” according to Hendon. The book combines an alphabet with a sports theme to teach children the Bible.

Hendon Hooker, on his pride in the offence
The Tennessee Volunteers lead the FBS in terms of scoring and overall offence. It’s what has made them a College Football Playoff contender. More so than individual accolades, it is also something of which Hendon Hooker is incredibly proud.
“There, in that, is all the pride. The team is essential. It’s not about receiving particular honours. When the team succeeds, that will follow. Therefore, we are not overly concerned with any individual awards, according to Hendon Hooker.
Very fortunate to have been able to go out and establish our own goals earlier in the season, and I’m now able to go and find those goals by being the top offensive in terms of yards and points. We aim to achieve that. Every drive should yield six, which is our goal.
