Before the NFL trade deadline on Tuesday, the Browns allegedly want to let running back Kareem Hunt go. With Cleveland playing division opponent Cincinnati on “Monday Night Football,” and it being unknown whether Hunt would have a significant workload, such a move will likely be decided at the last minute.
If this is the end of Hunt’s time in Cleveland, he has performed admirably as Nick Chubb’s reliable backup since 2019: In total, he has amassed 2,519 scrimmage yards and 23 total touchdowns in 39 game. Hunt has amassed 263 yards and three touchdowns on the ground in 2022, in addition to 87 yards and a score on receptions.

The Browns are reportedly willing to grant Kareem Hunt’s request for a trade, which was first mentioned in August. There is a chance that Hunt will be traded before the Nov. 1 trade deadline of 4 p.m. ET.

Who might be interested in purchasing Hunt outside of the fourth-round asking price is unknown. However, a number of teams are bound to other backs that have moved or might be moving.
The Rams apparently had McCaffrey in their sights, but the 49ers beat them to the punch. In Sean McVay’s offence, Hunt might show to be a reliable running back with Cam Akers out in Los Angeles.
There were rumours that the Saints wanted to deal Alvin Kamara to the Eagles, but only if they received a first-round selection in exchange. It’s unclear, though, whether the Eagles want to strengthen their running back group.
The Bills were reportedly interested in McCaffrey as well, but at the end, no negotiations had taken place.
