According to his wife Angie Lee Graham, Quentin Oliver Lee passed away on December 1 after a fight with stage 4 colon cancer. The 34-year-old former Phantom of the Opera performer. In December 2017, Lee began playing the lead in the nationwide tour of The Phantom of the Opera. Before starring in the Off-Broadway production of Oratorio for Living Things, which debuted in March, he appeared as an understudy in the 2017 Broadway musical Prince of Broadway and the 2021 revival of Caroline, or Change. On Friday, The Phantom of the Opera’s official Instagram account paid tribute to Lee, stating, “The Phantom family is grieved to learn of Quentin Oliver Lee’s demise. Our North American tour in 2018 was masterfully led by Quentin. We are thinking of Quentin’s loved ones and friends.”
In addition to Giuseppe in The Gondoliers, Raimondo in Lucia di Lammermoor, and Pandolfe in Cendrillon, Lee has performed in several roles on stage. With the NAU Opera, he also performed the lead in Sid in Albert Herring, Gianni Schicchi, and Belcore in L’elisir D’amore. In the winter of 2012, Quentin Lee received his Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University. While attending NAU, Quentin Lee participated in the Shrine of the Ages choir, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and the Cardinal Key Honor Society. He continued to work as a teacher at the Flagstaff School of Music.
