When Did Melanie Andress Tobiasson Die?
Melanie Andress-Tobiasson, 53, reportedly committed suicide on Friday after resigning as a Justice of the Peace before a hearing about her ethics probe. The judge claimed that to lure their daughters into prostitution, pimps “target the daughters of judges and law enforcement.” Before deciding to step down in 2021, Andress-Tobiasson had been under investigation by Nevada’s Judicial Discipline Commission for almost 2 years.
Melanie Andress Tobiasson’s Daughter’s Involvement In Criminal Activity
Andress Tobiasson’s problems started when her daughter Sarah, then 16, began working at a clothing store she believed to be a front for criminal activity. She tried to stop it by first reporting the situation to the police. She said that Top Knotch was engaged in prostitution and was seeking to enlist her daughter. She criticized the Las Vegas police for allegedly ignoring information on sex trafficking at the store.
She asserted that the establishment was an unregulated, underage nightclub and noted that Shane Valentine, the proprietor at the time, had “terrified” her. Andress-Tobiasson claimed that after receiving no response from the local police, she was forced to go to the FBI with the information. As a result, officers began to look into her for allegedly breaking the law by creating an allegation against federal agents.
Melanie Andress Tobiasson: Accused Of Disobeying Law
According to a complaint made against Andress-Tobiasson, she was accused of disobeying the law, failing to maintain the law, and engaging in improper behavior after giving in to family obligations. Police, according to Andress-Tobiasson, dismissed her claims after she urged them to investigate Valentine. Later, Valentine was connected to a shooting where a deceased couple was discovered. It took them months to formally connect him to the murders of Sydney Land, 21, and Nehemiah “Neo” Kauffman, 20.
But because Andress-Tobiasson believed Valentine was to blame, she got in touch with Land’s mother and “began to personally examine the situation,” according to the complaint. She also texted another woman she believed was connected to the murder, using “burner phones” to get in touch with Land’s mother.
