Eva Marcille has initiated divorce proceedings. After more than four years of marriage, the Real Housewives of Atlanta alum filed for divorce from Michael Sterling on March 23. According to court records obtained by ET, the reality star is claiming the marriage is hopelessly shattered and hence seeking a divorce. She is seeking child support in addition to sole legal and physical custody of their children.
Marcille said to People, “This has been one of the hardest decisions I have ever had to make, but sometimes life takes your journey in a way you were not expecting.” She also said this to Entertainment Tonight. “The eight and a half years we’ve spent together are irreplaceable, but our children will always come first. Please give us some space while we sort things out.”
ET has contacted Marcille’s attorney for comment. In 2017, Marcille and Sterling became engaged, and in 2018, they welcomed their son Michael. The couple tied the wedding in October of 2018 and had a baby named Maverick in September of 2019.

Marcille, who has a daughter named Marley from a prior relationship, has revealed that she will be leaving RHOA in June of 2020. Marcille said that she was leaving reality TV to spend more time with her family in a statement released at the time.
