Cynthia Perkins was an ex-teacher who fed students cupcakes filled with her husband’s sperms and several other crimes of sexual nature.
In a disturbing revelation of a sexual crime that has caused trauma and shocked the world, an ex-teacher finally admits that she, along with her husband, used to feed cupcakes, laced with the husband’s sperms, to the children of her school. Her husband was a former high-ranking official in the police department. The teacher from Louisiana has been fighting her the 72 charges pinned against her but she finally confessed in order to make a deal and has been looking towards jail time for 41 years.
Following her imprisonment, Cynthia ended the relationship and quit her position at the school. Cynthia was charged of with tainting cupcakes with her husband, Dennis Perkins, sperms before serving them to children at Westside Junior High School. Cynthia Perkins, according to her attorneys, expresses “remorse” about her crimes but intends to assist in the prosecution of her ex-husband. As per her counsel, although she confesses to many of the acts for which she was convicted, she nevertheless claims that she had been “manipulated and twisted” by her former partner into committing these horrific acts and she would not have done these crimes on her own. Cynthia’s chief advocate, Paul Scott, stated, “She’s very much looking forward to helping us go after the real monster, in this case, Dennis Perkins.”
Cynthia Perkins was set to face prosecution before a panel jury on Monday, and in that she would have been facing up to 72 years behind bars. As she accepted the bargain, however, 68 of the other accusations against her were withdrawn. She was sentenced to 40 years in prison for second-degree rape and 30 years in prison for sexual offenses involving minors under the age of 13. Perkins volunteered to appear as a witness in her ex-impending partner’s prosecution as part of the bargain. The pair was first charged with 150 felony counts, involving rape, child pornography, sexual abuse of a child, and video voyeurism when they were charged together in 2019.
