The 31-year-old retired anchor passed away suddenly. Harry Gration was the face of “look north” in his decades-long career.
His wife was shocked at this sudden news and she shared a sentimental display of notes for lat Harry Gration.
Harry taught history before becoming a permanent part of BBC. Gration was born in Bradford, West Yorkshire.
His career at BBC started in 1971 and he was given the “look north” show in 1978 which he kept doing till 2020. He spent almost 4 decades doing the same show. He passed away on June 24. Retired BBC journalists’ death reasons are not shared by any official sources yet.

Gration had 6 children. His wife Helen gave birth to three of them. She made a tweet in the morning showing gratitude to all his admirers. People have written beautiful things about him on social media.
She tweeted: “The boys & I would like to thank everyone sincerely for the beautiful things here about Harry.
“We are in such disbelief that his chair remains empty today & his coffee cup unused. We’ll try to reply as much as possible in time. We love him & miss him totally. Helen xx #RIPHarry.”
