Police in Pennsylvania’s Pocono Mountains said a 28-year-old graduate student Bryan Kohberger was detained early on Friday in connection with the November killings of four University of Idaho students, but many facts of the case are still unknown.

At a news conference on Friday, Moscow Police Chief James Fry revealed that the suspect, Bryan Kohberger, is a graduate student at Washington State University, which is located less than 10 miles from the University of Idaho.
What Happened To Bryan Kohberger?
ABC News was informed by law enforcement sources that Kohberger was identified as a suspect, at least in part, using DNA technology. The graduate student was then followed to Pennsylvania by police using his car.
Based on an active arrest warrant for first-degree murder issued by the Moscow Police Department and Latah County Prosecutor’s Office, Kohberger, 28, was being held for extradition in a criminal homicide investigation in the killings of four University of Idaho students.
According to DeSales University in Pennsylvania, Kohberger earned his undergraduate degree there in 2020 and finished graduate work there in June 2022.

The suspect’s apartment and workplace are both on the campus of WSU, and the university’s police department worked with Idaho law enforcement officers to carry out search warrants at both locations early on Friday.
According to the university, local, state, and federal law enforcement agencies are cooperating closely with WSU Police as they carry out their investigation.
He Is Arrested Now
According to Thompson, Kohberger was detained on four counts of first-degree murder and burglary.

The chief said that the murder weapon had not been located.
Despite not knowing Kohberger, Goncalves’ family said to ABC News on Friday that they are beginning to notice links between the two but aren’t yet ready to talk about them. The family expressed their “happiness, relief, and gratitude” that an arrest had been made.
