Erriyon Knighton has barely crossed the age of 18 but he is crossing the biggest records for sprinting. He is the fourth fasted runner in history and he has a lot to learn and a lot to improve.
He ran the 200-meter track for 19.49 seconds. Erriyon chose to become a professional sprinter at the age of 17 and only weeks later he perform tremendously at Tokyo Olympics. He got the 4th position which is breathtaking for his age.
Erriyon is already in the league of Usain bolt and Yohan blake:

Improvements in sprinting take a lot of time and effort. usually, a sprinter improves by the 100th fraction of a second. Erriyon previously held the record at 19.84 but this time he improved by close to 0.35 seconds which is unusual and extraordinary.
his coach was optimistic that at the age of 21, the young gun will be able to reach under 19.50 but he did it at the age of 19.
Even the Erriyon was shocked at such a pace. When his coach told him that he has reached under 19.50 he was shocked.
Knighton is a tall sprinter:
Knighton stands tall at 6 feet 3 inches. His coach describes him as a pogo stick.
The fastest record for 200 meters is held by Usain bolt currently who has won 100-meter and 200-meter Olympic gold medals three consecutive times.
Erriyon will compete at this weekend’s US track and field championships in Eugene. He is easily going to qualify for the world championship. He is positive that he will win the world championship.
his improvements came on the first race of the day which is unbelievable. usually, speed increased during the end of the season because of continuous training and camps.
