The world of music is in mourning today. It has lost a bright musician and a kind man to a horrible disease. DJ Dimplez, real name Boitumelo Athiel Mooi, has passed away as announced by his family on Sunday evening. The celebrated songwriter and musician will indeed be regarded for his substantial role in South Africa’s musical and popular culture industries.
DJ Dimplez, the hip-hop Deejay, and showbiz icon became ill on Saturday. He was transported to the hospital after becoming ill at his residence on Saturday. He did, however, take his final breath the next day.
How did DJ Dimplez pass away?
DJ Dimplez died of a severe brain hemorrhage on Sunday around 1.15 P.M, according to the family representative Shekeshe Mokgosi, who verified the ‘Amantombazane’ creator’s death and informed the press that the household is still coming to grips with the unforeseen tragedy.
Shekeshe Mokgosi told the press, “Yes it is true, DJ Dimplez has passed away on Sunday afternoon. We would like to be given time to grieve as the family is still coming to terms with the news. We confirm that he succumbed to a brain hemorrhage. Unfortunately, we can’t share any more details as we are requesting privacy during this difficult time.”
Since his passing, DJ Dimplez has been trending on Twitter and people have been taking up the online platform to express their grief over the musician’s passing. DJ Dimplez released many popular songs such as ‘We Ain’t Leaving’, which had Anatii and L-Tido, and ‘Way Up’, which included Cassper Nyovest and JR, and also included late producer and performer Riky Rick on his 2014 tune ‘Amatombazane’. The death of DJ Dimplez has left the hip-hop community in a state of mourning. DJ Dimplez’s friends and relatives have received sincere sympathies from artists and colleagues in the music industry.
